Restoration of Load-Bearing Structures at Hazi Aslanov Metro Station

Overview
Structural rehabilitation design for the 207 m turnback tunnel at Hazi Aslanov metro station

An engineering restoration project addressing corroded and deformed underground load-bearing structures in the turnback sidings of the Hazi Aslanov metro station in Baku. Originally constructed between 1982 and 2002 using the cut-and-cover method at a total foundation depth of 16–25 meters, it is classified as a shallow underground transit facility. The specific rehabilitation scope covers a 207-meter-long, three-bay cut-and-cover tunnel with span widths of 4.25 m and 8.25 m, buried under an overburden soil depth of 7 to 10 meters above the tunnel roof.
