Design of the White City pedestrian bridge

A modern cable-stayed pedestrian bridge designed based on the advanced concept by the Werner Sobek architectural bureau. This engineering structure serves not only as a safe transit artery over a busy highway but also as an expressive architectural landmark in the urban landscape. The total length of the designed bridge crossing is 234.26 m. The bridge features a complex variable width in the pedestrian zone, ranging from 7.20 to 13.20 m. The reliability of the load-bearing system and the support of the bridge superstructure are ensured by a robust central cable-stayed pylon rising 75.5 m in height.
