Design of a border road bridge over the Samur River

A strategically important border bridge crossing over the Samur River in the area of the Samur (AR) – Yarag-Kazmalyar (RF) checkpoints, engineered to ensure reliable transport connections between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. A five-span design configuration (54.0 + 3x69.0 + 54.0 m) has been implemented for the structure layout. The total length of the bridge crossing is 325.3 m, with the roadway width designed to a gauge of G-11.5 m.           A 3.0 m-wide enclosed pedestrian walkway with separated pedestrian traffic flows is provided on one side of the bridge
