Design of a marina and hydraulic structures for Sea Breeze Resort
A comprehensive coastal engineering project for the reconstruction, expansion, and development of modern marine infrastructure for the small-craft Yacht Club at the "Sea Breeze" resort complex in Nardaran, Baku. The project establishes a fully enclosed, protected marine basin of approximately 4 hectares positioned 200–230 m offshore, designed to safely accommodate over 60 large and small yachts and motor boats.
Key engineered components and structural features include:
• An enclosed protective rock-fill breakwater dyke rising 3–5 m above the seabed with a crest width of 4.5 m;
• Advanced slope wave-attenuation armor utilizing 0.5-ton and 1.0-ton hexaleg-type interlocking concrete blocks;
• 11 stationary reinforced concrete berthing piers spanning a total length of 361.1 m, complemented by an interconnected floating pontoon network;
• A specialized inclined marine slipway engineered for vessel launching and recovery;
• Integrated coastal leisure infrastructure comprising an expansive seaside pedestrian promenade, an iconic lighthouse, and an entertainment complex.
