Design of water supply and irrigation systems for farmland along the Hakari River
A large-scale agricultural and land reclamation hydraulic engineering project dedicated to revitalizing farming infrastructure across the Eastern Zangezur economic region. The scope delivers comprehensive engineering design-estimate documentation for centralized water transmission and automated irrigation networks serving fertile agricultural lands across both the right and left banks of the Hakari (Akara) River.
The engineered scope encompasses:
• Heavy-duty river intake headworks and high-head booster pumping stations equipped with sediment filtration and fish protection screens;
• Alignment and structural design of main pressurized transmission pipelines alongside concrete-lined distribution conduits engineered to eliminate seepage;
• Flow-control distribution chambers, hydrants, and automated regulation headworks configured to interface with center-pivot and drip irrigation systems;
• Integration of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) telemetry for real-time flow measurement and water conservation.
The project guarantees dependable water diversion and uniform irrigation delivery across expansive arable acreage throughout the Gubadli and Zangilan districts.
