Reconstruction of the Seaport and Creation of a New Water Basin in Turkan
Overview
Two-phase seaport redevelopment in Turkan: berth strengthening, land reclamation, breakwaters, and a new basin
A two-phase marine infrastructure engineering project for the comprehensive modernization and expansion of the operational State Border Service seaport in the Turkan settlement:
• Phase 1: structural reinforcement of existing berths, integration of self-adjusting floating pontoon systems resilient to Caspian Sea level fluctuations, capital dredging, and land reclamation for onshore service buildings;
• Phase 2: creation of a newly engineered protected port basin in the southwestern sector, featuring heavy-duty four-sided perimeter breakwaters and versatile adjustable pontoon systems (arranged parallel and perpendicular to the breakwaters) to service and moor patrol vessels of various classes.
