Reconstruction of Interfarm Irrigation Network and Settling Basin for Samur-Absheron Canal Headworks

An engineering infrastructure modernization project for water resources and irrigation management in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The scope encompasses the rehabilitation and upgrading of the regional interfarm distribution network alongside the engineering design and construction of an industrial-scale sedimentation (settling) basin at the headworks intake of the Samur-Absheron Canal (SAC). The engineered hydraulic systems ensure effective desilting, eliminating suspended sediment and bedload gravels from raw river intake, preventing canal siltation, and maximizing conveyance efficiency throughout the downstream agricultural distribution network.
