Design of a connecting railway line from the Khojasan Electric Depot to Bilajari Station

The designed railway line connects the “1 May” metro branch located within the territory of “Bilajari” Station with the new “Khojasan” Electric Depot (Client: “Baku Metro” CJSC). The total length of the route is 1,037 meters. The track geometry includes two curves with radii of R=186 m and R=337.95 m, with a maximum longitudinal gradient of 45.42‰. The track gauge is 1,520 mm, and the track width at the top is 3.45 meters. The track superstructure consists of a two-layer ballast system (30 cm of crushed stone and a 20 cm sand sub-base), Vossloh-type reinforced concrete sleepers, and R50-type rails.
