Detailed design of the Pirshaghi-Bilgah sewer collector, Jeyranbatan-Mashtaga-Nardaran water main and reservoir
A comprehensive municipal utility and civil infrastructure project aimed at the modernization and capacity expansion of water transmission and wastewater networks across the northeastern Absheron Peninsula. The project encompasses detailed design and cost estimate documentation for a strategic potable water storage reservoir, high-capacity water transmission mains, and a regional trunk sewer collector serving the coastal settlements of Pirshaghi, Bilgah, Mashtaga, and Nardaran.
Key technical specifications and engineering components:
• Potable Water Storage Reservoir: design of a 10,000 m³ reinforced concrete balancing and storage reservoir in Nardaran, equipped with automated disinfection and booster pump headworks;
• Jeyranbatan – Mashtaga – Nardaran Main Water Transmission Pipeline:
– Pipeline section with a diameter of 820 mm (Ø820 mm) extending 5,725 m;
– Distribution main section with a diameter of 560 mm (Ø560 mm) spanning 11,347 m;
• Pirshaghi – Bilgah Eastern Sewer Collector:
– Engineering design of gravity and pressure interceptor sewer conduits (Ø1000 mm and Ø800 mm) with an aggregate length exceeding 7.7 km;
– Complete rehabilitation and structural upgrading of 1,345 m of existing municipal sewer collectors.
Implementing this multi-utility project secures dependable pressurized water distribution for hundreds of thousands of residents while eliminating coastal discharges into the Caspian Sea through advanced environmental sanitation networks.
