Feasibility study and design for Phase II of the Vilashchay Reservoir
A comprehensive hydraulic engineering project for the strategic expansion and capacity enhancement of the water management headworks on the Vilashchay River in the Masalli district. The initiative focuses on scaling the reservoir's gross storage volume, controlling seasonal river floods, and optimizing regional water resource allocation. The scope delivered an extensive Feasibility Study alongside a full package of detailed design-estimate documentation for the Phase II construction of the hydraulic complex.
Key Phase II engineered parameters:
• Design reservoir gross capacity: 95 million m³;
• Reservoir water surface area: 515 ha;
• New dam crest elevation level: +90.00 m;
• Normal Retaining Level (N.R.L.): +87.00 m.
The implementation of Phase II secures a resilient supply of irrigation water for extended arable land across the Masalli and Jalilabad districts, alongside reinforcing long-term municipal drinking water supply systems across the southern region.
