Design of a Water Conveyance Structure at Km 32 of the Velvelechay-Jeyranbatan Canal
A hydraulic engineering project covering the detailed design of a water conveyance and intake structure located at the 32.0 km chainage of the strategic Velvelechay – Jeyranbatan main conveyance canal (Takhtakorpu Reservoir and HPP zone) in the Siyazan district. The facility regulates flow regimes and ensures the safe hydraulic transmission and discharge allocation of bulk water.
Core engineering scope:
• Hydraulic modeling and capacity verification for nominal and peak flood passage conditions;
• Structural reinforcement and detailing of cast-in-place concrete culvert barrels, intake portals, and transition wingwalls;
• Hydraulic design of energy dissipation works, including downstream chutes, baffle blocks, and stilling basins;
• Mechanical specifications and structural detailing for control gates, stoplogs, and electromechanical hoisting gear;
• Integration of telemetric hydrometric instrumentation and automated water level monitoring within the centralized SCADA system.
