Design of traffic interchange and cable-stayed bridge at the intersection of H. Aliyev and Z. Bunyadov avenues
A large-scale infrastructure project of a unique multi-level traffic interchange, unprecedented across the CIS region, designed to relieve congestion on the capital's major transport corridors. The structural network incorporates 9 bridge structures and overpasses integrated with highways and approaches totaling 3,145.0 m in length. The design was delivered across three distinct phases:
Phase I interconnected Ziya Bunyadov, Heydar Aliyev, and Gara Garayev avenues via 3 overpasses and access ramps totaling 1,286 m;
Phase II linked the corridors toward the airport and Bakikhanov settlement through 4 overpasses totaling 1,194 m, including a 56.0 m span overpass suspended by parabolic steel arches up to 27.61 m in height;
Phase III delivered Azerbaijan's first cable-stayed overpass with a 360.0 m main span, a 98.0 m pylon height, and approach ramps totaling 665 m
