Conceptual Design of the "Incechay" Reservoir
A large-scale hydraulic infrastructure development project designed for the strategic expansion of regional water resources in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The initiative delivers a comprehensive conceptual design framework for the construction of the "Incechay" reservoir, aimed at establishing a resilient multi-year freshwater reserve, satisfying expanding agricultural irrigation demands, and mitigating downstream flooding along the Incechay river basin. The study rigorously defines the key volumetric, geometrical, and structural parameters of the proposed dam and impoundment basin.
Key reservoir parameters:
• Gross reservoir storage capacity: 137.8 million m³;
• Active (live) storage volume: 123.8 million m³;
• Inactive (dead) storage volume: 14.0 million m³;
• Surface mirror area: 349.4 ha.
Dam structural specifications:
• Maximum structural height: 145.0 m;
• Dam crest length: 1,820 m;
• Dam crest width: 10.0 m;
• Dam body embankment fill volume: 26.6 million m³.
